What Counts Toward Supervision?

We help our supervisees gain experience in both restricted and unrestricted activities to ensure a well-rounded understanding of clinical practice.

Restricted Hours May Include:

  • Direct implementation of behavior-analytic programs with clients
  • Discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), or task analysis with clients
  • Data collection during behavior reduction or skill acquisition sessions
  • Assisting in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under BCBA direction
  • Providing parent training support under supervision

Unrestricted Hours May Include:

  • Conducting preference assessments or skill assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS)
  • Writing or contributing to behavior intervention plans
  • Graphing and analyzing data
  • Researching and discussing ethical scenarios using the BACB Ethics Code
  • Attending team meetings, IEP meetings, or behavior plan review sessions
  • Preparing materials for teaching programs
  • Conducting indirect assessments (e.g., interviews, rating scales)
  • Reviewing research articles and evidence-based practices
  • Participating in case conceptualization and treatment planning

BACB-Compliant Supervision

Our supervision services are designed in full alignment with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB®) requirements, including:

  • Minimum supervision hours per month
  • Proper ratio of unrestricted hours
  • Monthly documentation and signed supervision forms
  • Ongoing performance feedback
